Founder's Story: Why decisionMe

While it’s been a few years since my son, Glenn Jr and daughter, Kristen emerged from the House household bound for college, I vividly recall the angst I felt as they packed their things in preparation for their adult lives.

Back then, I was building my company that helped the department of defense manage large inventories of replacement parts for its vast store of equipment. I employed multiple-layered decision methodologies to make the best decisions for the specific circumstances at hand. The models and statistical methods, coupled with my years of decisioning experience helped our teams and our clients’ teams land on the best outcomes.

I was confident that my offspring had learned from me the best methods to make great decisions for themselves and felt even more safe that I was just a phone call away to help when needed. I remember Kristen calling for help to walk through a big career decision. Should she continue with her product management track in Boston or switch to marketing/advertising track and move to Manhattan? We navigated it together in an Excel Workbook and in the end, she made the best decision for her.

When I left Northrup Grumman recently, I thought to myself, now that Kristen and Glenn Jr. are grown and have families of their own, how can I use my experience to help parents, young professionals, and professional work teams navigate through complex, multi-criteria decisions with ease and confidence?

That’s when I decided to launch my new company, DecisionMe.  DecisionMe is all about bringing complex decision frameworks, like Decision Analysis and Resolution (DAR) and others to everyday people who are losing sleep over tough decisions. We’ve incorporated all of today’s technology including AI, to step users through complex decisions delivering guidance through easy-to-consume, graphical depictions of the statistical analyses that leads to great decisions.

I’m so excited to launch our first product, decisionMe Analysis & Resolution™ that’s designed to make complex decisions customized to the individual user’s needs. While spreadsheets will forever hold a special place in my mind, we’ve built decisionMe Analysis & Resolution™ to give professionals a level of confidence they will not find in a spreadsheet, Google search, or application of off-the-shelf AI.

My unwavering commitment to fewer sleepless nights due to big decisions is here to stay.
